Rear camber
Rear camber
I have an 88 rx7 with 225 45 17 in the rear... i wore the tires down in a matter of a couple weeks on just the inner edge of the tire.... i have ALOT of neg camber, i have read on here about the adjustable camber bar but i was wondering if this is what i need, does camber on a car change that much because of bigger wheels? JUST TRYING TO KEEP MY BABY RUNNING!!!!!!
I dropped my car 1.5 inches needed the camber adjustor for the rear only. Im currently running 225-45-17's also. I bought this one from Mazdatrix:

As for fixing it, the adjustable camber links are the most economical way of correcting the problem. Racing Beat sells one, ground control sells one, and I think mazdatrix sells one. I forgot which was the cheapest. Mazdatrix also sells adjustable thingys for each side, but they are more expensive (since you have to get 2)
The best rear camber link I've seen so far is the one from Flatout Motorsports. It's under $100 and is on car adjustable (the other cheap ones have to be unbolted to adjust them. I just bought one and it was shipped and arrived reasonably quickly. They've got good service, and it's a nice piece.

yea i havent changed the suspension at all on my car stock ride height so isnt the adjustable camber rods really just for cars that have been lowered?, i just got it back from the shop and they fixed the balljoints, and couldnt find anything wrong with my rear, they told me id just need to get an alignment to fix me rear camber problems, i talked to a machnic from rx7world.net and he said that the adjustable camber bars dont work very well, im stuck....... im going to try to have it aligned and see what they say..... my tires are literally like this / \
The camber adjusting rod doesn't know what prings you've got, so why would it matter? It doesn't. If you have lowering springs or just saggy springs you get the same effect, lots of camber. The rod should help, but no, it's not the greatest solution, but it's the easiest, the cheapest and the most used.

If they didn't work, then there wouldn't be so many reputable companies selling them. Well, there wouldn't be so many people shelling out money to buy them at least.

adjustable camber bars dont work very well
I have an adjustable rear camber bar on every 2nd gen I own (don't ask how many that is). I'm a big believer in them, expecially since they are so simple to install and adjust.
However, to be fair, mazdatrix also sells a kit that will allow you to adjust the camber on each wheel independent from each other. With the bar, you adjust the camber an equal amount to each wheel. So if one wheel is, say, more negative than the other, it will remain more negative than the other at any setting. Usually not enough to make a difference, but might be what rx7world was refering to.
