rear bushing install problem?

I'm putting all new bushings in my FC and i'm only having a problem with the bushings on the rear trailing arms, or "C" arms, it's the smaller bushing, the package the bushings came out of said they were for my year ect but they are too big i pressed the old bushing out and the new bushing is buldgeing out and won't compress how it should, My car is an 87, has any body else had this problem?

Did you remove the metal sleeve that the bushings are encased in?

Also, what size sway bar is on the 87 base model stock? i have 24mm bushings for it but they are way too big, do they offer bushings for the smaller bar?
