A really good question, for na irons on a turbo engine, oil supply *WARNING: Searchd*

All 12A and 13B engines have an oil passage in the front iron that leads to a flat spot on the top of the spark plug side. From the factory, non-turbo engines have a plug pressed in, while turbo engines are tapped for the banjo bolt to supply the turbo with oil. You can drill and tap this area and then use the stock feed tube (it will have to be cut free from the vacuum spider and lengthened) or use an adapter to convert to AN sizes so you can make your own lines. Of course this is complicated and if you end up getting drilling/tapping chips into the oil gallery they will be very difficult to extract (try a magnet on a stick) and will cause serious bearing damage as they go through the engine. This approach isn't really recommended unless the engine is already disassembled.
from Aaron Cakes web site.

this is exactly the approach i am going, as the engine is being reassmble this week.
and i want stock apperance, am using the turbo front cover and 6 port irons.

i took the banjo bolt with me and bough a tap bit for m12x1.5( iirc) but the tap its self didnt come with a drill bit.... like all the dam sae taps do!

my qestions are:
are all the irons threaded, then the 6 ports are capped, and turbos left open, or
is the press in cap fill the hole up and the turbo irons threaded.

what size drill bit should i use to tap a 12mm hole? i know it sounds like an obvious answer but i know its not.

whats the easiest way to get the tap out? drill it?(grinds teeth)

The irons are not threaded from the factory. The casting is simply not drilled, or a press fit plug is in place.

I searched Google for "tap drill sizes" and this was the 2nd hit:
http://www.newmantools.com/tapdrill.htm

What do you mean by "get the tap out"? Did you break a tap off in the hole?

just to let everyone know that reads this, that threat size was difficult to find, and it took going to a bolt company 50 miles away. and it was just a regular bolt, i then drilled out the center and 3 holes to match the stock banjo bolt, good luck anyone else.
oh yeahi dont reccommend using a helicoil almost screw up the hole thing lol.
