I have a 1988 vert N/A
gaskets whent bad took it to a rotary friend he said start looking for a engine.
about a month later started smoking, ran rough, and would turn off. took it back to rotary friend and he said "i told you so!!!"
just when i was ready to buy a s5 engine swap (turbo or N/A) on the morning of easter sunday 2009 i lost everything i owned in a fire (featherstone apartments newport news VA)
being a die hard rotary fan (and this is my first rx7)i refuse to quit on the car and sell it.
with that said I am looking for a bargen to help me complete my dream and having my car on the raod.

can anyone help me with parts so i can put an engine in the car and get the car running????

might sound desperate, but im just trying to use me resources for a little help

i had things in that appartment like the
carpet
the passenger seat
the leather cover for the convertable that buttons to the car with the two plastic arms
i was removing all the interior to clean everything by hand really good

what i have right now is a 1988 vert with a not running stock N/A, a driver seat and the complete dash, honestly i just want to get the car running .
i wanted to swap for a S5 turbo or N/A but i am not in the position to be a chooser.
if i can find a 13B engine S4,S5, turbo or Non turbo. due to what happend for a low ball price my rotary friend said he will work on a deal to swap the bad for the good.

 

now one can help, this sucks i want to get the car on the road

im thinking bout opening the stock engine and changing the seals but for that price i may as well upgrade the engine

FYI, sticking to the same series engine will be alot easier and cheaper. S5 swaps into an S4 are pretty complicated and not really worth it for all the BS you'll have to go through. If you're really dead-set on an S5 engine, keep all the sensors and injectors and stuff from your S4 and put them on the S5 block.
