Honestly, if he was nice to me and babied all his help and responses, I probably wouldn't have figured out/fixed/learned as much as I have. It's just his form of reinforcement, and it works

I wonder if this will make the newer half of the FC forum population swing from dustin's nuts even more than they already have been, or less?
It's good to see that you can get it in and out and find major problems with relative ease, but at a certain point I think I'd enlist some more experienced help.

To be fair felix isn't the only one that messages me about stuff, about 5+ other people do a day, and I usually get a new person I've never talked to from the forum every couple days.
I don't eve know why, I'm not that uber

Why do you think I dont publish my aim name anymore, and stopped logging on anymore? I get on aim to bullshit with friends, not to answer other people's tech questions. It amazes me that so many people hold the belief that they're owed something for nothing all in the name of "rotary brotherhood". The way I see it, I'll give you a direction to go in based on my experience, and after that, you can get out there and figure it out your damn self, which is exactly how I learned almost everything I know. By beating my damn head against the wall doing research and trial-and-error testing until I found and fixed my own problem. I didnt have anybody to hold my hand while learning this ****, which is why I am fairly knowledgeable today.

You were never that bad, really. You at least excersized some common sense. I'm talking about all the "hello, I have an rx-7 that doesnt start. please tell me what's wrong. I'll be expecting your reply within 12 hours, and if not received by then I'll be sending you a few more emails just to be sure you heard me." type of messages I used to get all the time. I still get the emails constantly.

LOL, yeah, I love those ones, and then if you don't reply they get all pissed off and start sending angry replies...
On a side note, you have any s5 n/a engine parts you're looking to part with?

I totally agree. Although felix is one of our better members, people around here treat him like a god sometimes becuase of what he's done. Like sonic said, anyone, even a 10 year old enthusiast can pull and teardown a rotary, but to do it RIGHT is where the real experience is shown.
If he had done this right, the first time, and everything was perfect, I would be very very impressed. But every time that he's torn down this engine, something has fucked up, becuase he is not very experienced. Im not trashing him, but if you want to worship someone as a rotary god, look at dan atkins, kevin landers, etc.
Felix is a good guy, I love having him on the forum, and if anything, all these rebuilds are defenitly going to add to his sheet of experience, and one day, he'll be a very good engine builder.
But like he said, we should be slappin him around so that he finally gets it right.

The problem with this whole thing, is that everybody keeps idolizing what he's done as if it's some magicaly impossible thing to do, and so he gets encouraged, and does it again, and does something else wrong. Yeah, it's good to not give up and etc, but time and time again he runs into troubles by not checking things. You peopel should be yelling at him so he gets it right!
