Probably alot of the name your paying for as well but it seems alot of kits are priced around there.

I have a group buy interest on KSport Big Brake Kits going right now. $1,700

How about ask Ramy helping us get the GB together for this RE Amemiya Brakes package? Do they make one for FD?

You want something different.....and you say you could make your own for that much??......but yet you decide to purchase the ones made one of largest non-OEM RX-7 parts manufactures in attempt to be "different"?

Sorry, Ill get out of this thread.

Yeah, I am a dealer of their products.

I have the coilover group buy as well. They just came out with those brake kits and thought it would be another alternative to the other brands. I just throw it out there cause if members are looking for kits and are interested I can send the GB payment over to the RX7club and make it official.

Don't take it wrong I am not trying to push sales behind the backs of the admins here. Just getting the word out.

WOW!!! I'd love to have those on my car, don't know if they are actually better then some of the other ones on the market...but it would go well with my plans for the RE Amemiya body kit.

He're my two Yen on this idea:

The way I go through brake rotors and pads on the track, buying weird expensive ones from overseas is a stupid idea. Where are you going to get replacement parts? Hell, what pads does it even come with? Street pads? Sprint track pads? Endurance track pads?

You're already knocking on the door of the AP big bucks kit, which uses much better two piece rotors: http://corksport.com/store/category/...rx-Brakes.html

That much for a one-piece rotor?
The brake rotor looks almost OEM from some other car...

What happens when you need to replace brake pads?
What about replacing the brake rotor?

It seems kinda impratical to me...

R.E.A. used to run rebadged Trust / GReddy stuff, which was all AP / Lockheed, but these things look custom made one-off's...I'm talking about the brake calipers.

Anybody silly enough to pay for them can have them...

JPY207,900 = US$1,800! You'd have to be nuts to buy those IMO. You're paying a lot more just for some RE-A stickers (plus you can add the cost of flying them halfway around the world). RE-A do not make brakes, they simply stick their name on someone else's discs and callipers and make some brackets to suit. You could get something local that would work just as well for a lot less money. Throw on some stickers and nobody would know the difference.

i would know the difference and it would eat me alive inside

onto the topic at hand i know it doesnt make sense to buy something just for the name. its is no were near pratical or smart. if you know they dont do brakes, do you know who made those? like RETed said
