that is what I was thinking, but what presilencer is on the rb full turbo exhaust.. they say it is full 3" to the y-pipe don't they.. so then the presilencer should be 3"?

I checked out the full turbo exhaust pre-silencer and the one on rx7store.net, and it seems that they are two different ones, does anyone know if i got the 3.15 inch dp and the 3.15 inch presilencer from the full turbo exhaust and put it on my car if it would get rid of the lawnmower sound?

from racing beats website
"Supplied with a 3.15-inch (80mm) inlet and outlet flange, this presilencer section can also be used in a custom exhaust application"

$225 is a lot for a pre-silencer... i've heard a lot of people had good results using a 3" borla xr1 race muffler as a presilencer.

I have a Turbofb with RB presilencer 2.5" and 3" Downpipe HKS muffler. Sounds nice. But $225 ia alot of money. I bought mine used for $30. So if people say Borla is good enough, that might be your best bet.

the xr1 is stainless steel with stainless steel packing. its not dirt cheap ($140 from summit) but its still cheaper than the racing beat one.

I belive it is a 3" ID (inner diameter) but I could be wrong, cause 0.15" doesn't seem like it would be thick enough, even for a flange, I know for a fact I have the RB 2.5" Turbo presilencer and it has a 2.5" ID.....

I have the RB presilencer and it made my turbo engine exhaust note deeper. Definitely a better sound than stock. Not sure what size it is as the car is at the shop.

Straight pipe, is the same flow pattern as a presilencer, however my car felt a little for torqueier with the presilencers on...

drone is from your catback, if u have somethign that looks liek a folgers can it iwll drone u cant fix that. presilencers do help to get a lot of the tinny rotary noise out. racing beat is great in my opinion. sounds good and makes good power and its not too loud.

It didn't make it quieter, but definitely a deeper drone noise.
