RB exhaust install
I ordered at full RB exhaust about 2 weeks ago. That is the down pipe, pre-silencer, and cat-back. It will probably be here in a week. The shop I ordered it from is going to charge me $150 to install it.
Does anyone know how hard or easy it is to install. Me and my friend know an average amout about cars but not a lot, do you think we will be able to do it in a few hours or should i just fork out the $150 for professional installiation?

bumpity.
Getting to the downpipe bolts may be a bit of a challenge, but the rest of the exhaust is easy. You just need jackstands and some new rubber holders that connect the exhaust to the frame.

Isn't the car a N/A?
$150 is way to much for this install, even if it was a Turbo.
The DP is not hard to install once to understand how to move the metal tabs holding the nuts down.
If you have a N/A.. do it yourself.. its 4 bolts holding the manifold on. too easy...

it's pretty easy to do yourself, just as long as you have a few jack stands where you can get the car at a good height and have a good bit of free arm and hand movement to remove the stock bolts. I'm telling you right now, those bolts are going to be a biotch to get off, but with enough effort they'll budge Good luck to you.

Get a can of PB Blaster (I think thats the name) spray the bolts with it, let it soak overnight. Have a nice breaker bar with extension. You'll be all set. Oh, a pair of gloves to cut down on the knuckle bustin fun. Do it yourself.

Man there is only one thing to use when it comes to getting off exhaust bolts, Pb catalyst spray, that **** will get them off in a matter of seconds. Saved my *** many a times when working on a 1980 firsts gen.

Good luck, its going to take you a while as those exhaust bolts get awful comfy where they are and don't like to come off. I ended up cutting the nuts off of my mufflers when I did my install with a hack saw as I did not have a grinder since I am at school. That took me about 6 hours of laying on my back and cursing a lot.
