RX7 1986-1992: Exhaust - Headers: Presilencer - 87-91 RX-7 TURBO II -
I don't buy pre-made stuff for exhaust any more. I made my own presilencer for my 3" downpipe, and everything after that is all custom as well. I found an Ebay fart can with a 3" inlet. It had a 5" outlet, which I cut off flush with the body. I then made an adapter ring that would adapt the 5" hole on the end to 3". I put a 3" exhaust pipe inside the ring and welded everything together. There is no step transition or anything to harm flow, since the muffler is literally 3" ID all the way back to the tip. After installing that "presilencer" on my car, the noise level dropped pretty low. It's only loud when you really get on it.

/\/\..Yay!.That just gave me an idea on how I am gonna reduce the outlet size( make a "silencer").
