Thumbs down raught roh! brake vac line?

/scooby sound...

anyway i broke my lim where the fuel rail bolts to. too tight. so i got another one.. but now i have a problem. my motor is jdm so it has the jdm manifolds on it. but now i have a usdm lower on a jdm upper. no big deal till you try to put the brake booster vac line back on. think it will work if i pull the vac off the intercooler nipple? i put it on a line off the uim by the rear rotor secondary runner but they still arent boosting right. any other ideas for a big vac pull? thanks guys

try turning the brake booster vacuum hose around...it might be the check valve inside the hose... its either bad or you have the hose (and therefore the check valve) backwards. or it could be something totally different, in which case disregard all of the above.

its not the hose since i havent changed that around. its cause the us manifold set has the vac line on the upper and the jdm mani set has it on the lower so by having one of each, i no longer have a nipple to plug it into

I don't think it matters where it comes from as long as the source is large enough. Can you drill a hole and tap a fitting into it?

A friend of mine had this same situation with the jdm/usdm mixed stuff. His solution was to drill and tap a hole and put in a nipple (as suggested). I don't see what's scary about drilling that aluminum? It's quite soft.
