lol, that and I'd rather have a nice clean JDM car, then a stickered out pos. (no offense to peeps with tons of stickers. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'd rather have a clean, slow JDM car then a stickered out, slow car.)

That's not the point of JDM. That's pretty much why a lot of people look at it as a waste of money, and practicality for that matter.
For me, it's the little details that set a car apart. You can have a really clean USDM car, or you can change little things here and there and make it a really clean JDM car. For me, it's just to be different. (yes i know there are a lot of other people out there doing the same thing so i won't be that different.)
I guess the best way to put it, is it's just a style preference. Just like how some people prefer to drag in a straight line, and other people like to drift sideways. It's all just personal preference.

Noun
1. A particular kind (as to appearance); "this style of shoe is in demand".
2. A manner of performance; "a manner of living"; "in the characteristic New York style"; "a way of life".
3. A way of expressing something (in language or art or music etc.) that is characteristic of a particular person or group of people or period; "all the reporters were expected to adopt the style of the newspaper".
4. Distinctive and stylish elegance; "he wooed her with the confident dash of a cavalry officer".
5. The popular taste at a given time; "leather is the latest vogue"; "he followed current trends"; "the 1920s had a style of their own".
6. The narrow elongated part of the pistil between the ovary and the stigma.
7. Editorial directions to be followed in spelling and punctuation and capitalization and typographical display.
8. A pointed tool for writing or drawing or engraving; "he drew the design on the stencil with a steel stylus".
9. A slender bristlelike or tubular process: "a cartilaginous style".
There is the definition of style, as a noun. "Style" can also be interpreted differently by one's frame of reference.
Everyone is open to his/her opinion, but to contuinually refute another person's definition of a word or what a specific word symbolizes, is somewhat ethnocentric. I understand that you don't think JDM "style" is anything important, nonetheless, it is still a "style".
