Random Relays under hood

What are the stock relays used for? There's a set up in the nose and another on the firewall by the coils. Thanks.

The ones in the nose are for the headlights, high beams, A/C, and electric fan (for the A/C). I'm not sure what the one by the coils is for. The wiring diagram in the factory service manual should have more info. Check the FC3S.org site.

That's the Main Relay. It powers the injectors, ignition coils and all solenoids and 12V sensors in the engine bay.

If your car had Theft Protection, you would find two relays near the trail coil assy. One is for the Starter Cut Relay. The other has already been explained.

The factory alarm does not interface with the ECU, but most of the relays in the car are used for non-engine functions, such as lights, starter kill, power, etc.

So no most of the relays would not come out if using a stand alone.
