Radio Shuts off When Pass. Side Door Shuts

Its works when the doors open, but speakers stop working when shut(radio still on). When i shut the door and pull it in a lil tighter, it starts working again, but when i release pressure, they stop working. Speakers are hooked up right and the ground was working find before. I havnt hook any more electronics up either. Im pretty sure the wires are all hooked up right too(worked fine before) Any Ideas?

Mine does something similar to this. I shut my car off and a few seconds after I turn it off my radio turns back on. By itself and I can turn it off. BUt it only started doing that recently and it killed my red top...had to charge it up forever....Maybe a wiring prob? Short some where?

Yeah, it could easy be bad or shorting to the body in the door even after only a couple of weeks.

Have you pulled the door panel yet??? I doubt it.

And if the radio ground was bad (the radio grounds to the car body by the way, through the factory brackets) you would loose all channels on the radio and the display would shut off and the programmed station and clock memory would be lost etc and it would happen with either door. Not just the passengers.

i did take the door panel off and everything is connected snug like it should be.... the radio wire harness was all out of wack so we just ran a seperate ground cable to the fire wall..... my dad(mechanic) says it could be that the ground isnt well enough... right now the radio works fine? itll happen tommorrow mourning im sure
