I would pefer a metal piece any day of the week.

 

Myself as well, that is why I went with the Signal Auto one recomended to me. Not that dewds above is bad, I know nothing about it. But metal is the way to go.

haha any reason for metal?? it doesnt hold any weight, it just keeps air from going up into the bay keeps it going through the radiator.

 

i havent been using anything to direct the flow as far as radiator panels...do they really help that much???

 

im sure the stock panels were their for a reason but is it that big of a deal besides looking clean???
is their any proof of the temp differences with and without some sort of panels being stock or one of these?

 

Good answer.... that is what the panel was designed to do... to channel the airflow directly to the radiator.. aluminum is lighter than steel at this thickness and plus when polished it looks great...

The persons who ordered and paid for their panels... they will be on their way this week... had a bit of trouble with the waterjet and we had to replace a very expensive part that made it in today...

do they cover the sides?? of the lil compartment area in the hood? i made my own panel and i was wondering how do you guys seal the holes in both sides???

 

cooling panel doesnt work on my car im guessin the lack of wheel wells has something to do with that.

 

Erm,.. what the heck are these even for? Ive never understood it, anyone have pics before its installed? On my car there are allready nicely curved factory plastic pieces below the relays that completely seal off the radiator areas. I dont however have an overflow bottle in the front of my car as its an early build. Did mazda Change the overflow location over night and just never made new plastic pieces or soemthing?

 

Good luck getting them. You probably won't get it till a year later...corksport lags...

I got mine in 3 days. I have never ever had a problem with ordering from Corksport. Have you? I never remember anything being a problem with Corksport.

 

I got my corksport panel in a week and I'm in Canada.

Its been weeks where are the panels????

 

I measured out a card template then cut it out of .9mm aluminium(freebie from my mate) using a jigsaw, holesaw, drill and a file. I put the sticker on there that I got with my coilovers. Straight bolt on except I heated the overflow bottle with a heat gun and bent the front edge lower so the panel would sit flatter.

Total cost: $0.00 Time spent: probably 2 hours or more, off and on. Difficulty: easy

 

there is truth in the statement you replied to, i waited on my panel from corksport for about 6 months. No need to jump on his case.

 

His comment seemed universal and Corksport is one of the few companies that has always treated me well. So I was a little hasty.

 

I had a few issues with shipping and lengthy wait times from Corksport, but I would still order from them though.

 

I sent all the panels out... i will check to see how yours was delivered and who might have signed for it.. now i dont remember what your real name is so please refresh my memory ....
