radiator fluid leaking when heater is on??

radiator fluid leaking when heater is on??

I found the leaks indside the car.. i know its my heater core.. but my only question is can i fix it for cheap or do I have to replace the whole copper hoses or can I JB weld the bastard??? tell me what I can do b.c (I am almost broke from getting my fc running but it runs sweet... now I need a heater b.c winter is coming in fast... help??

It's not easy but you need to pull the dash to find out where exactly you're leaking. I did the same after installing a rebuild and bending one of the metal heater hoses running into the firewall. The heater hose wasn't sealing properly to the metal hose and causing a leak under pressure that dumped coolant inside the car. If you do have a puncture though, JB weld works great IMHO. I used it on a small puncture on my radiator at the same time of reinstalling the motor and it still hasn't leaked.... for three years now. Just be sure to mix it well, and give it plenty of curing time. Good luck!
