Radiator Fan

Will the radiator fan from an '88 NA RX-7 work alright in my '90 NA RX-7?

hmm.. I'm not really sure if that's gonna work.. have you ask the dealer about it or did you checked your mazda repair manual? anyways, I'll ask my mechanic friend, he might know..

Mazda changed the design of the whole cooling system for the S5.
The fan clutch, water pump, and fan are all slightly different.
What's going to mess you up is the diameter of centering stub of the pump flange.

Yes, I can attest to this from personal experience.
The older fan clutch will not fit on the later pump without machining the center hole...and I didn't see any easy way of doing so.

As a result, I have a perfectly good S4 fan clutch sitting around...anyone needs one PM me.
