Radiator cap assembly?
Anyone know if the cap assembly from a 87-88 radiator will fit on the radiator out of a 86?
It looks like someone replaced the rad. in my 88 with one from a 86 but when the system builds pressure the tube that would have gone to the overflow on a 86 is cracked and leaks. I noticed that the 88 assembly requires an O-ring but I don't know if it's for the cap or for sealing the assembly to the rad.

I ordered the cap assembly for an '88 and put it on last night. We'll say YES it does fit.....kinda. It takes a little forcing because it's slightly bigger than the assembly for the '86. But, it did go on and got a good seal with the new O-ring I put under it.
