radiator cap

I replaced water pump on my 7
and I needed a new cap, rubber broke when I removed it.I had to buy one (no mazda dealrship here)
well now it keeps running hot,I don't believe I have
blown any coolant seals,no white smoke..but you never
know....
anyhow,I can blow in the over flow line back into the
radiator,I should'nt be able to do this should I?

well going crazy....
thanx for input..

Order an OEM cap from Mazdatrix, or any number of other vendors that have it...

As far as "blowing in it", I don't know what the set pressure is for the return valve, but you're probably overcoming it, it shouldn't be too much...
