racing down hill and crash

Last night, was a fun night, but a bad night for my TII. I finally got to find out how exactly my car runs, and it was a beautiful thing. There is this hill here in portland called crown point, its about a 5 to7 mile road, with 4 hairpins in the middle, now these roads are very narrow, except at the hair pins they are kind of wide, and it was scary at first, but went up and down a couple of times, started to push it harder...... the 6th time going down I drifted the first hairpin corner, it was ****** insane, my adrenaline was pumpin like crazy. 2nd hairpin gripped the corner. Then as I came upon the 3rd hairpin and was a little to much on the inside tryna take this corner, note there is a lot of dirt, gravel and clay. Now as I broke traction, I was on the inside of the corner, I tried powering out, but kept on sliding....... luckily there was a curb threre to break the sliding or I would of been off the cliff. So I hit the curb and bent my a-arm pretty badly, and fucked my wheel and tire up also...... man it was crazy I was havin a blast, cuz ,y friend thinks his 86 turbo 300zx is the ****, I laugh at him, muahahahahahaha...... but yeah, I'm disappointed this happened, but I don't regret it, because having fun is priceless especially in a rx7, haha.....

Question, how much do you guys think its going to be to pull the parts off at a u pull it? And how long do you think it would take for me to fix this? I plan on starting tomorrow.......

I would imagine it is fairly easy, as long as the frame and or subframe isn't bent.

Sounds like fun, nothing like that i've found yet. Not around here.

Just fair warning you're going to get a some tongue lashings for doing that on a public road. Glad your okay, but might want to keep that stuff on the track. As for you question it really varies on what you want or look. you can probably pull some decent parts from a wreck, or you can pay for a new one. just depends.

hey I had a 86 300zx(z31). Thats is an awsome machine. I had same mods to my 300zx and my 88 TII. tyhey both had intake and exhaust with 8 psi. The 300zx always felt faster.

The 300zx is a huge car and isnt great on turns without suspension. But once i had put suspension on it. It was a great track car and it was my learning drift car. RIP.
vg30et torque was unbelievable. PLus i had a JDM engine in my 300zx. Which had 262 cams intead of the USDM 242 cams. IT WAS ABEAST

and these guys ^^ telliung you to not touge on dangerous roads. I wouldnt listen. I had several crashes with my Z. Like u, I popped many tires on curbs and bent suspension arms.

But guess what? learning on those hard roads with many obsticles makes you a better driver than learning on a circuit track. <---- i can prove this since i am better than my friends that go to tracks 10x more than i do. and i have only been to the track 6 times and i out drift them at the track.

Thats great, I'm glad you were having fun honing your skills. Now, think about the consequences before you do something like that again. Having lost friends doing **** like that I can't say its smart..Buddy of mine Rolled his 90 DSM on a Touge Road that we often raced on..I pulled him out and he died before the ambulance got there. Both of his legs were broken and he ended up crushing is aorta upon impact of the steering wheel. Yes, thats right, he DIED doing the same thing you were. We were lucky we didn't kill someone just passing by also. I was young, and stupid. But I learned from my mistakes, my buddy didn't get that luxury..so I hope you think about your family, friends and the lives of the people you put in danger by being selfish and racing on the streets. Don't mean to be an *******, but when I read how you didn't "regret" any of that It made me upset. Keep it on the track, or dont do it at all.. but hey, thats just my .02..

^^ I think we're telling you not to do it on public streets. As in there are other people on the road. I have no problem with people making a mess on backroads and other places where there is no chance of traffic. It's your body and car.

And in my opinion, you can learn more on a track than you can on public streets. At least you will have instructors along with fire and ambulance just in case. Just because you outdrift your friends doesn't prove anything.

I drift in public roads without traffic. I dont care about my well being.. but I am not about to hurt some random human. I am stupid because i drive carelesly anbd many have told me thats what makes me good but i never put other people in danger. I dont even like to hve passengers.(even though friends are always begging for a ride in the 7)

Oh. I have never touged a road with a cliff on one side. Im sure i would be holding back more than usual if it was an insane cliff. NO cliff mountain experiences for me.... JUst ditches and dodging pine tress....

if you are going to touge a road out in the middle of nowhere i have no problem with you crashing and possibly hurting yourself.... just make sure you be responsible and have someone down the road blocking it off to oncoming traffic and letting you know to stop... and if you cant do that then at least have a scout go before you and radio back when it is safe to do your run.... other than that keep it on the track for some autocross...
