racing beat y pipe
I have a chance on getting one of these used for a good deal but the guy was saying that I couldn't use it because it was for a T2 and I have an NA. He then said that it is 3 inch tubing. I thought racing beat made y pipes that were all the same. http://www.racingbeat.com/FRmazda2.htm
Would I be able to use this? Also is a high flow cat quieter than a presilencer?

RB does have different Y-pipes for Turbo and NA unfortunately. http://www.racingbeat.com/FCExhaust/FC%20Exhaust.htm
The cat back system's Y-pipe is meant to bolt directly up to your stock exhaust, RB's full systems are sectioned slightly differently and cannot be bolted up to a stock system. the angles of the flanges are also different.
the cat should be quieter due to it's construction. a presilencer is just a strait pipe with packing around it, while the Cat has a very tight honey-comb material that gets super hot and helps clean the exhaust coming out of the car, it creates baffels for the sound to be absorbed in.
hope that helps,
