Racing Beat Turbo Cat-Back...

I have a 3" RB Cat-back that I purchased used a year or ago. Well I've finally got around to do something with and realized that because of the size difference (2.25" vs 3") I couldn't just bolt on in the place of the OE cat-back.

So I took it to a local mechanic that I know and he simply elongated the holes on the flange to accommodate the studs coming out of the OE flange. Problem solved.... new problem arises: The now new angle of the Y-pipe points to the rear driver side tires which makes it impossible to attach the mufflers.

Keeping in mind that this is an N/A setup, what would be the best solution?

Thanks in advance for all your helpful suggestions

-Rich

You should of left the RB system as it is.(Hope you didn't alter it.)
If you make a small pipe between the 3 inch Y and the cat and perform the angle difference there then you can get everything to hang properly.
I made a small piece that had the same flange as the cat,but then it would go "into" a piece that had the bigger pipe.I angled both and had a guy weld it up.
Poof..Done.
Just to be sure I used Double gasket.

The only alteration on the RB Y-pipe flange was to elongate the mounting holes a bit, but the loops are still intact.

I like your idea, but I think that its more then what my guy can handle. I'll have to get a friendly muffler shop, to pull it off. Thanks
