Racing Beat Catback... put it on myself or let the pros do it?
I will be doing it Friday now, with the help of fellow forum member MaxDuo. We'll see how it goes.
On a side note, I can't believe how light the exhaust system is. The boxes are huge, but not at all heavy.

instead of four jackstands, and a floor jack, why not throw some old tired in a pile.....that way you don't have a floor jack in the way....four jackstands isn't a bad idea though....
Racing Beat Catback... Update, I got it done
Alright! Mother Nature may have tried to stop me from putting it on, but dammit, I got it on anyway! We started everything at 10:00 AM, but didn't get done until 5:30 or so. This isn't because it took that long to get the work done, the work itself took maybe an hour and a half...
Anyway, it's on, and it works fine. The exhaust is quite foul, as my car runs super-rich right now. I noticed some holes in my old Y-pipe, I'm guessing some exhaust escaped through there, making it not quite as foul as what I'm smelling now. I can't detect any leaks in anything, so all is good.
One question I still have though-The drivers side muffler hangs quite a big lower than the passengers side. I left the original hangar donuts on there, but also tried some more that I bought and neither helped any, it was still hanging a little low. It's not loose at all, you can't push it very much in any direction. I seem to recall hearing someone else talk about this issue in one of the threads I was searching when I did my original research, but I don't recall there being any type of solution to the problem.
It's no big deal, but does anyone have a fix?

Well, not on the pinch welds.
I either put the jacks under the suspension pivot points or under the subframe/unibody frame rail.
But for what the original poster was talking about, it would catch the car in a fall... more important than having straight pinch welds

To fix the problem of one can hanging lower that the other, remove the can and bend the metal hanger so it either hangs lower or higher (whichever you need). take a long screw driver and use it as a lever to pry it up. put some cloth over the can so dont scratch it. thats what i did with my HKS cat back that i also ordered from mazdatrix. good luck.
