Quick Throttle Cable Q?
90 s5 gtu, with a temporary motor sway................So for the past few weeks I have been having a problem getting my car to idle. At initial startup it will raise up to 2k rpm and stay running by itself for about 30 seconds. It will than drop and die unless i play with the the throttle. I checked everywhere for vacuum leaks, I even replaced all the manifold gaskets and applied rtv sealant to the new ones. The O rings on the injectors looked good, I replaced all the vacuum lines as well.... I've searched the thread repeatedly and found a lot of good information. Well, my question is, does the throttle body cable have to have some tension on it for the car to stay on or does that have nothing to do with me not catching idle.
