Quick question about rim/tire fitment

Quick question about rim/tire fitment

Here is my proposed setup:

17x8 +35 offset with 225/40/17 tires for the front
17x9 +40 offset with 245/35/17 tires for the rear

Will there be any rubbing? I am riding on eibach prokit and KYB AGXs. Can I go for slightly higher profiles without rubbing? I really dont want any rubbing even under extreme cornering conditions. Thanks.

Front will be ok, tight but should be fine. Id be a little worried about the rear. Id go 35 in the rear if possible.

Thanks for the reply. So for the fronts I will be close to rubbing the springs? Is 235/40 a good size for the rears? I want a good compromise between more surface area without getting too much understeer with a overly wide tire.

I would think that a 17x8 would need to be much closer to a 25 or 30 ET than a 35ET.

A 35 is only a 1/4 inch less deep than the stock 40, and add an inch onto it (25 or so mm) and I would doubt there is anyway that a 35mm/et would work with a 8 inch wide wheel

Just to throw this out .. Im running 17x8s up front with a 32mm offset, and a 235/40zr17 tire. I can barely squeeze my finger between the spring and the tire, and the fender clearance is damn close. Everything does fit well though. This is why I said he should be fine with a 225 tire and 3mm less inside clearance than I have. Id think any more negative of an offset and you would definately need to roll the fenders.
