Quick question

I'm replacing the uim and lim gaskets and was wondering if I'm supposed to use sealant, if so what kind?

I never use sealants on intake gaskets. Ever. Clean the mating surfaces off really well, install gaskets, install manifolds.

I generally run a skim coat of RTV sealant over the gaskets. It fills any pits in the flanges plus it makes the gasket come off in one piece, should it ever need to be removed.

ok appreicate the quick respones. I found a small gash on the rear rotorhousing that might cause a leak so i will use the sealant as aaron suggests.
