Quick Q on side seal and springs

Putting my side seals and springs in. The springs have a dab of white painted on them. The Haynes doesnt say if these go down facing the rotor, or up facing the seal. Which way they go????

Thanks, Jason

Look on page 91 it depends on what face of the rotor you are talking about.

Yeah, there's a specific way they're supposed to go, otherwise one end will sink and not stick up completely, basically you can test it out by putting them in so that each end has a spring near the far ends of it pushing upwards, as to keep the far ends up and away from sinking in with the side seals.
