Quick Q about rear speakers

just wondering about the rear 7" speaker cutouts. what cruel, sick person did this to my car, and do I have to order $10 brackets or pay an extra $25 for bigger speakers? I have 6.5" rockford fosgates now. help.

Heh, why not make your own? That is what I did. I went down to Lowes, got some oak wood and made brackets for my 6.5 Polk speakers. Pretty sturdy and look decent too for a person that has not worked with wood very much.

Or you could modify the stock speaker brackets.

now you can brag about the custom woodwork in your car. that may be the route i take as well. i just am still puzzled about the angled 4" speaker choice for the GXL model. i guess i just want everything to drop in all nice and purty. thanks dude.
