Quick help, which way to mount the engine mounts?

I am replacing both my mounts right now outside, and i am wondering which way to seat them. There is the stud on the topside with a little metal nub next to it and it can either face up or down. The mount is oblong so it looks like it would make a difference. How should i mount it???

Working on a car late at night sucks.

With good light, it's easier to see how parts fit..

Tell me about it, late night work can blow itself

I had very ample lighting so it was hard to see exactly how it was supposed to go together, thanks for the response though guys!

Of course, after i get the engine mounts on, i have this crazy new detonation problem that MAGICALLY appears out of nowhere.... WHat the hell do engine mounts and detonation have in common!!!!! I think i blew an apex seal too....
