Quick FC ?(tranny and model)

i have 88 base model 5spd
and i 90 model auto can i switch trannys?
and now do i tell what model my 90 is
its 5 lug with a sunroof eletric mirriors no turbo

Short answer is NO. Long answer is, you can spend a few days transfering all the **** you need over.

All S5's are 5 lug axles. All S5's had power mirrors aswell. The sunroof excludes a GTUs model obviously same as the auto. It's likely a GTU, GXL, or "Coupe" If you have 4 pot brakes up front and vented rear disks its not a GTU.

will the Tranny mount to the engine i can make brakets and what not all i need to know is since they are both 13b motors and the only diffrence from what i thought was they lighted the rotors in 90s adding HP

Well the S5 auto tranny is electronically controlled. So you'd have to bring everything over from the S5 that is tranny related. The CW would also be WRONG as the S4 rotors need a different weight.

you need a s5 flywheel or a neutral weight lightened one that you bolt up to the counterweight
and you need a custom transmission bracket

other than that, everything just bolts up

remember to disconnect the transmission computer to the right of the ecu
