Quick F.I. Cleaner Question

The reason I need to run F.I. cleaner is because the car is very sloppy before 4k rpms and very annoying and difficult to drive. I assume as long as the car is cruising anywhere below 4k rpms it will clean the primary injectors? If that is the case ...can the car be static and in nuetral while I have the motor rev'd up into cruising rpms?

I really don't have anywhere to go and I will not drive the car anywhere in its condition ...so that being the case ...is my suggestion still as effective as if the car was normally cruising?

If you really want the injectors clean then pull them and have them ultrasonicaly cleaned. If you are cheap and want them clean you can buy the 3M cleaning kit that connects to the fuel rail. If you're really cheap you can pull the injectos and clean them like this guy.

Scroll 1/2 way down.

Driving the car or running the car in the driveway with injector cleaner in the tank may help, but it's nothing like running the cleaner full strength through the injectors.

Yeah. I just hate driving the car and having it stutter like mad. I'll endure it though.

I'll pull the injectors if need be. Right now I don't know that is the problem yet.

It won't hurt to replace your fuel filter and clean your grounds.

If you're in Tallahassee, you can have your injectors cleaned at Shiver Turbo and Diesel, and have them back the same day (if you drop them off in the morning).
