Quick Custom FMIC questions

I've researched doing a custom FMIC with two stock cores. Heard it cools well. I can do all the piping myself and everything. What's the best way to connect the two stock cores? Anyone have pics? I've seen the BOV go on either IC pipe. Which is better? AAANNNDDD last one........I need a throttle body adaptor, right? And, I need to wait for rx7store.net to get them back ins tock, right? Thanks for the help.

I've seen pictures of 2 stock tmic cores well together. For the bov placement, some people prefer very close to the TB but I have seen some high powered cars have it near the AFM. For the TB adaptor you can buy one from Higgi on the forum or you can go here for a polished greddy one http://rx7.com/store/rx7/fcintercooler.html

Place your cores side by side so they flow from top to bottom. This way theres double the cooling capacity and double flow (not exactly double, but better then one)

If you place your cores end to end you'd be restricting your flow, so there'd be less flow then one stocker.

You can use a n/a throttle body plastic inlet, just flip it up side down. But Higgie's billit ones look so much nicer

I personally wouldn't bother putting two stock cores together.... just get a bigger IC from another car and put it up front until you can squirrell up enough money to get a good IC. You can get some of the diesel truck IC's on ebay for less than 50 bux..

My IC cost me about 550 bucks for the IC, pipes, adapter, clamps and couplers, so there are a lot of differen't ways to do it without spending over a grand on an IC....
