Questions on down grading brakes 4 piston to 2 piston.

Will I need to buy smaller rotors? I have a 5 lug 4 piston caliper setup currently. I'd like to swap to the smaller 2 piston calipers so I can fit skinny race rims up front. What all do I need to do this properly?

Thanks....

I presume for drag racing, he wont have to worry about brake fade/heat issues like autocrossers would.

As long as you have the correct BIGGER single piston calipers you will be good * base model S4 single piston will be smaller then the 4 piston calipers etc* .. just make sure you have the single piston brake lines too because the 4 piston calipers have a hardline on them and the singles do not. then should be good to go

Correct! I'm putting "skinnys" up front so I'm losing alot of braking power anyway. Just wanted to double check the rotors wouldn't need to be replaced etc.....

Thanks!

I use FD 4 piston calipers and run a 8 pound 15x4 skinny. They need some spacers and didn't require any grinding. When I'm driving around town and at the autocross I don't have crappy brakes either.
