Questions about my FC
As many of u prolly know, i have a 88 N/A FC with a 90 engine. The car has a race exahust, no cats and no mufflers. I am going to install a good performance exhaust system. I was told to go single instead of dual as it will yield more horsepower, can anyone tell me how this is possible?
Also i know that some cars make all their power before redline(5000-6000 rpm). Is this true for my car too? If i was racing, what would be the ideal rpm locations to shift at?
After the exhaust is done, i want to upgrade the suspension. Anyone have any suggestions? I will have about $500-$600 cdn to spend. Will that be enuf or should i keep more aside? Anyone know any sites to order suspension upgrades for my car?
I am also thinking that i should do a tune-up, does a tune-up just consist of an oil change and changing the plugs or is there more that i should know about?
any help is appreciated

Tune up: Coolant flush, oil change, spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter, plug wires and pulsation damper inspection.
Single exhausts keep the exhaust gas flowing at a higher velocity. Dont ask me why that makes more power, I havent cared to look into it. Plus they weigh a lot less.
For optimal shift points, get on a dyno and find out your peak power point.
Suspension... 600 canadian wont get ya much. A set of springs would run you about 350-400. You could get an enegry suspension bushing kit (IIRC about 90$US) which would probably change the feel of your car completely. DTSS eliminator bushings would be a nice upgrade IMHO. Just so much damn work to install them.
