Questions...

hey i have some questions about the 2nd generation rx7 turbos before i buy one... the one im looking at is...

Additional Selling Points: PRICE LOWERED... Must sell. Moving soon! This is a great 90 Turbo II with 50k on a Mazda remanufactured motor (w/ receipt). The rest of the car has 142k. I’ve own the car since 125k. Nearly all miles are 2 hour drives on highways from Harrisonburg to Reston (straight highway). Since I've owned it, I've documented every piece of maintenance. It's had regular (2000-2500 miles) oil changes, coolant flushes, etc. New wheel bearings. New brakes all around (not just pads and rotors) Brand new all season tires less than 1k ago. There’s more. Modifications (all reliability or comfort): '91 Turbo II leather seats (to replace old leather and get more adjustments). Apexi Air Fuel gauge / turbo timer. Autometer boost gauge. Clarion MP3/CD player. It has a RB cat/back exhaust (prev. owner)

does this sounds like a good car, also the person is asking 5000 is this too much because the KBB is only around 3500. also the rotary engines are they reliable? would it make a good first car? the guy i talked to said that as long as routine maintance is done then it will last a long time is this true? if you all could give me some opinions of the car please do!! thanks a bunch

4500-5000 sounds about right for a clean s5 turbo........ unfortunatly, you cant go by kbb on this one......there are too few s5 t2's for sale that the price goes up due to demand, alot of people want them...but not very many want to sell

so, it sounds pretty good......its great that he hasnt really messed w/ the motor (i.e, no boost controller, fcd, ect....)

well for 5k that can be a bit pricy but the way i read this was that it is in top knoch condition. which i think is a good buy. you could probably talk him down some. and those are some low miles on the car so i think you would be good to go. yes the rotary engines are very reliable. if you do the proper maintinance it will out last almost any vehicle with pistons. i think it would be a good first car. just dont start slapping mods on it right away. drive the car for a while and get used to it and get some hands on work with it like do the oil changes your self and basic stuff. then start putting mods on it (if you want) and and things one at a time and feel the performance gains.

I say take it to a mazda dealer and pay for a compression test if you don't know how to do this yourself and if the motor has over 90 on front and rear rotor I would say its worth the 5k.
