Question for ya

Look on your door. just above the window there's a little black/body colored tab that sticks ou like half of an inch. WTF is that for?

I've only ever seen it on FC's and even though i've had my car for alittle over 3 years i never was able to figure out what it's for.

P.S i dont think this is on Convertables

I had them on another car I used to own. I was told they were for security. Something about the window. Having it there makes it harder to pull the window out when it's open a crack - something like that anyway.

But if someone could confirm/deny that, it would be great!

Not on convertibles, but I thought the piece you are talking about is used for wind noise reduction.

Mildice i was also thinking it was for wind noise. maybe after they designed the car they wind tested it or blah... and came up with a wistle at speed or a wurrr/wind noise at speed. i dunno. i just never figured it out. it doesnt look like they are removable.. kinda like molded into the weather strip. Ah well

No, no. tell me it's not so. Icemark didn't know! Why that is the window adjuster for the door glass! I thought everyone knew that. My goodness. What do you people do with your cars? Just drive them? The proper part number is FB01-58-606A.

You newbies need to use the.....SEARCH ENGINE! before asking such common, everyday questions. Your taking up valuable computer time! SEARCH NEXT TIME!

Your Microfiche skills are very good HAILERS

But, can you enlighten us newbies to just how the adjuster works?

What aspect of the door glass does it adjust? Is it strictly for the assembly process?

Uh, errr, ah, duh......I'm too busy right now to give a lecture on the adjustment of the door glass using the well known part number FB01-58-606A. Maybe some other day/week/year/decade.

But beware, if yours is missing.......don't drive the car until you get one installed. I think there's a factory service bulletin out there warning of what might/might not happen if the car is driven in that condition.

MIcre fish....wads that?
