Series five has three wires in the four socket plug.

Series four has four wires in the four socket plug.

The three wires in the series five plug have the same function of the same three wires in the series four plug. I'm saying same location for both series.

So. What is missing in the series five plug is that FOURTH WIRE that is in the series four plug. That wire in the series four plug is a switched 12vdc power source.

So if your capable, you could insert a pin in that socket on the series five plug, with 12vdc switched power on it.

It's in your ballpark now. Have fun.

I have a S5 N370 pressure sensor. Its a lil ghetto rigged because the vacuum nipple broke off.. so I kind of improvised . It works fine though. Send me 20 thru paypal and ill have one to you by about tuesday or wednesday.

NO, I believe theyre calibrated a bit differently to make up for the slightly higher boost levels the s5 ran stock. IT could work in the short term I'd imagine.

Yeah. That was a bad idea. There's too much of a difference in input to the ECU.

I don't know for sure, but why would they be? The S4's MAP sensor reads happily to ~1bar boost, well over the stock max boost for any FC. All MAP sensors I've seen are linear, (i.e. ouput voltage rises linearly with pressure), so unless the S5 MAP sensor can read higher than that, both sensors should give the same reading.

Well, if I get time and think about it I will compare the 2 I have on hand and see.

I don't see how it would work right. If you look at the output of the two sensors at the same vacuum, the voltages are just too different to make me believe it would work right.

Series four at 3.9 inHg puts out 3.5 to 4.5 at sealevel.

series five at 3.9 inHg puts out 2.8 to 3.2 at sealevel

True, but it doesn't make much sense unless the S5 doesn't output a linear signal like the S4 does, but that doesn't make sense either. I dunno...

ONe of you guys with an s4 turbo need to check your sensor for me. I conducted voltage tests of my s5 sensor on the car, but the s4 sensor I have is apparently bad as it does not change in voltage or impedance as pressure is modulated.

I performed tests on my sensor at atmospheric, -5, -10, -15, and -20" of vacuum, and at 5, 9, 12, 15, and 16psi (the sensor maxed out at 4.86vdc at exactly 16psi).
