Question for those with FD wheels on their FC..

I will be getting a set of FD wheels for my FC soon (hopefully.. ) and am just trying to figure out what size tires I can put on. What size are you guys running, as to not experience any rubbing issues. The wheels will be sitting in front of some H&R 25mm spacers. I am thinking I can fit a 265 out back, and a 225 in front? My FC is slightly lower than stock, due to Tociko Blue struts, and Tociko springs. Any suggestions welcome.

I know the FD guys like 245s all around, but something tells me a 225 would be the most that would work in the fronts of an FC without coilovers. I don't know if they try to put 265s on that 8" wheel but it seems like the FD guys consider 245 the upper limit for tread width for an 8" bead. You could try it though.

I think FD wheels are a great choice for light, cheap, strong wheels BTW. I got some 300zx wheels for autox for the same reason . . 16x7.5 and a hundred bucks for the set of 4 . . 16lbs each.

Yea, I know that 225s can either fit, or rub up front with stock T2 wheels (depending on tire..), but I wasnt sure about the spacing with the FD wheel. My friend is running 245s on a 7" rim with no problems, so Id think a 265 on a 8" rim should work, but maybe Ill go 255 just to be safe, depending on any other input I get. Oh and these arent just any FD wheels, they are '99 FD wheels.

Alright, one more question about this. Do any of you experience any type of abnormal tire wear issue, or funny handling characteristics caused by the spacers?
