Question on FD fuel pump

I know on Reted's site he says they only have about a 10-15% better capacity than the FC ones... But I have the oppurtunity to buy someone's FD fuel pump pretty cheap and was thinking maybe I'll do that since I need one to go along w/ my exhaust... Would this be good enough with a mildly ported S4 T2 and full 3" exhaust? Or would you say this is still pushing it some... And that I should just wait a little longer and go with a walbro?

edit: Mind was elsewhere and I said flow instead of capacity. Changed that.

The FD pump will work fine for you but you might as well get the better Walbro. Its only a hundred bucks.

Ah, mainly just wondering because he may give it to me for $30. Figured if I was fine like this I'd wait til I spent the money on another turbo in the future to bother w/ getting a better fuel pump.

It should work fine, unless your running very large injectors and very high boost.
remember the FD has 550 primary injectors and 850 secondaries.

I'd worry about those things, unless we're talking about some kinda liquidator?

The original FD (hell, all RX-7) fuel pumps were all made by NipponDenso.
ND makes very good, quality stuff.

I'd bet it some crappy Made-In-China crap that just happens to flow about the same as the stock FD fuel pump?

If you're worried about performance, cheap is going to bite you in the ***.
