question on ATF trick

does anyone know of a page online that details exactly what needs to be done for this? the descriptions people are using to describe it here are tending towards the mechanically experienced in rx-7's. im kinda new, but learning fast and im hoping someone has info for a first timer to follow along to and get experience at this.

thanks for any help.

if anyone REALLY wants to be a pal, check the 24th post on sniperX's thread on the ATF trick and 6 port clearing.

the short of it is i need to find out how to manually rotate the rotars, and where to access the ports to ATF them as well.

thanks

Put gloves on(optional) and grab the a/c belt. Pull towards you. Car in neutral. See http://www.howstuffworks.com/rotary-engine.htm you'll see that the rotor has three faces meaning that you will have to rotate the engine one complete revolution to expose the next face. I have never done this procedure, but I do not see why you would not just remove the inlet duct at the throttle opening and just pour the atf in there for simplicity. I read post where they take the lower plugs out and squirt the atf in there. Seems like a painful way. Works for them though. I'm sure somebody will come along and give you another site. Do go through the site I pasted from front to back. They have some good rotor pictures and breakdowns. Have fun. Oh yes, do not forget to download the factory manual at the following http://www.iluvmyrx7.com its a free download of a 88 factory manual. As in FREE. NO COST.
