Question about the seat belt recall...

I took my FC with broken seat belt movers to the dealership for recall work. It took them 3hrs and when I got home I noticed that the belts don't move forward when I take the key out of the ignition. I checked the upper belt attachment point and it doesn't look like its movable...I didn't force it much because I didn't want to break anything. Anyways, I always hear about people getting this recall done and reporting how much quicker and quieter the upper belt moves. Mine doesn't move at all. I'm not sure if the dealer mickey moused the job or if this is Mazdas current fix.

No the upper moves after the fix and on mine they completely replace the runners and motors, works like new -- no charge.

The bastards told me mine had already been done and no longer applied. So I called customer care and they settled things.

Looks like they didn't do the job then. The belt doesn't move it all; it's permanently stuck in the rear position. I'll just take it to another Mazda dealer.

IIRC, the seatbelt moves forward when the door is opened -- not when the key is taken out of the ignition.
