question about s5 tps

I'm thinking... when you set the tps using the two light method, which plunger does it look at?

I remember when doing the ohm test, it read 1000-3000ohm, as opposed to the factory spec 1000-4000... maybe the short range tps is out of range. Perhaps this could be the cause of my trouble?

The SAFC looks at the wide-range tps, and that stays pretty much constant.

Anyone wanna shed some light on this?

As you might guess, it's the ECU's interpretation from the short range TPS.

Two things fixed mine.
Spray contact cleaner between the barrel & sleeve of the TPS plunger, work it in, blow it out.
Beefed up ground at the firewall.
