if its pintched when reasambeing engine, how long will engine run? my friend said like no more then 2 blocks.

 

Mine was pinched during a front main seal change and it lasted about 1000 miles

motor is in the process of a rebuild now by a local forum member. The damage was done by a mazda dealer

 

how much does he charge for a rebuild

 

i bet u had alot of metal shavings

 

in oil

 

i took him a basic rebuild kit and the motor and he charged me 500

 

500 but u had to take the motor out?

 

alot of metal shavings and it messed up all the rotor bearings and stationary bearings

 

if it was done by mazda, wasnt it under warranty

 

i didnt know that it was messed up. The cars isnt my daily driver so it took a feew months for me to put 1000 miles on it. When the motor took a dump and he pulled it apart thats when we realized what had caused the damage.

 

500 and i pulled the motor. the cheapest a local shop around here will do the work for is 1500 if they pull the motor and re install it and if you havent read the florida shop list they dont have alot of good things to say about most of the shop down here and the ones they dont talk crap about are extremely expensive.
