nope, i agree with what Ted stated. All the fuel in the tank will go to one side when conering hard and leave the fuel pump out of gas. This will cause the engine to starve of fuel resulting in bogging or your engine cutting out. -alex

There was a post not long ago about a kill switch for de-flooding/theft prevention, and people were talking about a switch on the steering column for a fuel pump kill in case of an accident. Don't know firsthand, but try searching.

I have read using carb cleaner only works for a short while and then is back again. You dont really want that false sense of security. I dont think it's really expensive to replace anyways.

it was 17$ for a new one, so i just came home and put a brand new fuel pump and strainer from another car of mine, weird thing is, the one from the GXL had a strainer about 2 1/2 times bigger than the base model one, but it seems to be working ok, ill give it a little bit and see how it goes, also, my car hesitates really bad if i rev past 3k then let it fall anywhere below 3k, when i press the gas again, it hesitates for about 1 1/2 seconds before revving up again, any guesses??
