Question about linkage connected to throttle body.

I went to remove the nut on the top of this linkage because it wasn't sitting even, like it had been cross threaded. Well, the linkage just twisted and broke, with little pressure applied. It's right below to the left of the TPS.

What does it connect to, and what's it's purpose?

I'll throw a few dollars at someone if they have an extra one lying around.

Got a picture of it? What year is your car? If its what I think it is its the Oil Metering Pump Linkage. Depending on throttle position it tells the OMP how my oil to pump out into your rotor housings. If you need one I have one laying around and would be willing to sell it to you for dirty cheap. Get a picture up that way we can verify that is what it is.

I included a picture, maybe you're not able to see it because I have it hosted on another forum.

Attached the picture, sorry for the confusion.

Also, the linkage had a spring covering most of it, sot that when compressed, it would return/extend back out.

Oh. That's on a turbo throttle linkage. Has a spring on the rod. Let's seeeeeee. It helps control the rate the outer set of throttle plates opens. IF your outer set of throttle plates is missing, then it's a useless piece and you don't need it.

It works with a black, flat cam and a damper the black cam rides on.

I took a picture of that item and it's somewhere around. I'll take a look and upload it tomorrow.
