Question Question about lightweight Flywheel

When your installing a light flywheel on a motor that came from an auto do you have to remove the 54mm bolt? Or do you just bolt it on with the 6 bolts that go around it like the flexplate mounts? The answer could make my decision for me. Thanks guys

If I understand your question correctly, then Yes...

You remove the old flywheel then unbolt the counterweight, rebolt the counterweight on the LW Flywheel and reinstall....

On an auto there is no flywheel. There is a flexplate that bolts to the counterweight with 6 bolts that in turn is held to the eccentric shaft with the 54mm nut. I've looked at some of the pics of the aftermarket flywheels and they seem to have a hole in the center that is much larger than the 54mm nut just like the flexplate does. Anybody understand what i'm talking about? thanks.

Autos does have rear counterweight and u just bolt aftermarket flywheel to it. No need to touch 54 mm nut.
