Question question about coolant draining

im flushing the coolant from my engine.. i think i have found the drain plug but that b*tch is in a hard spot to reach...am i suppost to remove something? i have removed that shield from underneath the car..am i missing something else?

Are you talking about the drain plug on the drivers side at the bottom of the intermediate housing?

yeah...its (i think) in the middle of some sort of mount...not too sure but that is one hard to reach plug from where im at..i was wondering if maybe im suppost to remove something that i have missed..

Try this, remove your drivers side front wheel and get at it that way. I beleive you can get to it pretty easily from there.

You will have to remove the driver fender along with the wheel. There is no access throught the cowling. Yup, that little bugger of a drain plug is not real easy to get to. I'd rather let the hot H2O drain as I remove it from the top rather than be below the pug as I remove it from below and on by back. Ouch!

yeah...should i just leave it be and flush the hell out it? i mean i kinda have to flush it anyways because while drilling this one bolt( yes i broke it and it owned me for like 2 weeks if not more) i got metal shavings into water pump housing...so will just flushing the engine also flush the coolant from the engine drain plug?
