Question About 5-Lug Suspensions
Question About 5-Lug Suspensions
I am looking for a second-gen project car for a LS-1 and T-56 transplant. Are all 5-lug brake systems, half-shafts, etc the same, or should I look for turbos or GTU's only?

turbos have the strongest axles
gxls, gtus and gtu have na axles which arent built to be as strong since its non turbo
all the braking i believe is the same , 4 piston front calipers (dual 2 pistons) vented rotors, and single piston calipers and regular non vented rotors on the back
all this info can probably be found in the faq section

Actually, some FCs have single pot fronts and non-vented rears. You can tell the cars with big brakes easily because the front caliper's much bigger on the Rx-7s with 4-pots.
My '91 has big brakes, but it's not a GTU or TII, just a "coupe".
