puzzling FMIC questions

im halfway through the greddy FMIC install, got everything mounted up front, now im working inside... and i have a question before i remove too much

first off, its a 1991 (s5) turbo.

right above the BAC there is a small hose that goes from the manifold to the (turbo outlet duct?). it goes to the same pipe that feeds the tmic. what do i do with that hose when i remove the tmic and that pipe? do i just cap it at the manifold?

the instructions dont explain much about that, seeing as how they are in japanese and the english version is for a different ic kit :/

thanks... and if theres anything else i should know about, chime in!

oh one more thing, welding my ssqv to the pipe by the TB, do i have just the bov welded on, or do i have the rx7 FLANGE welded on? anyone have a pic of their ssqv welded to the ic piping?

thanks again

If you are keeping the BAC drill and tap a fitting into the pipe coming right off the turbo at the bend for an air source for your BAC. Did this and it works fine.

Do you mean the small hose that goes from the connection on the bottom the BAC valve that goes to the turbo outlet? That's the BAC valve's air supply. If you leave it open the engine will be sucking in unfiltered and unmetered air and will idle badly. The proper way to fix this would be a weld a matching nipple onto the new turbo outlet pipe and reconnect the BAC valve with a new longer hose. Or you could just remove and block off the BAC valve and lose your idle control...
