Putting storage bins in my 2nd gen?

ok i dont feel like ripping apart the interior right now so im just going to ask. it just feels like there is wood or something over the holes for the bins...can i just cut this out and it will be just like any other car with storage bins? (obviously i would have to actually have the cloth bins to install but yeah)

I wouldn't cut them out. They're screwed to the plastic frame that holds the factory bins, and it's just a big open space under them. You can lift the carpet to unscrew them, then cut the holes in the carpet, and bins will just drop in place.

i have a pair of bin frames that you can have for $10 plus shiping. in fact i have a box ready for them. it would be eaiser to buy them rather than screw around with cutting yours.
