Putting an S4 tranny into an S5. Transmission Wiring.
I've got a 91 RX that was swapped from NA to S5 turbo. I'm putting in a new transmission as the other exploded (don't let your girlfriend drive your car).
The tranny I got was from an 10AE TII. I'm trying to hook up the wires, on the 10AE I've got a plug that matches up to the car that goes to the top of the tranny. Then I've got four wires, 2 red two green. From what I understand the green are back up lights and fifth gear sensors. I can't find any info on the red. The green wires go into connectors. The red ones are bullet looking plugs.
On the car's harness I have four wires. A red one with a black stripe, a black one with a yellow stripe, which were most likely together on a connector a long time ago Then another set that is on a connector that is green with a black stripe and what appears to be a black wire that may of had a red stripe at one time.
If anyone would like pictures I couple prolly take them.
